Have the Audacity - August '26 Edition - Tidbits of Tee Digest
Tidbits of Tee Digest is a monthly newsletter providing curated insights to motivate, inspire and upgrade the style and mindset of the intentional person.
It doesn’t feel like the year has flown by but it still feels weird that it’s August already. I was reading a post that made me reconsider what it means to be humble especially when talking about ourselves and the things that we do, the things we’re gifted at. We often “dumb down” what we do and call it humility when in actuality we might be robbing ourselves of meaningful opportunities and connections from not speaking up and confidently sharing what it is we do.
This month and for the rest of the year don’t allow being humble to be disguised as self sabotage. Brag on yourself to one person each month (maybe once a week if you’re feeling chatty lol). Keep it simple though, I’m not saying read your resume line by line, think of it as a 90 sec elevator pitch and focus on the main skills and the highlights. Don’t hold back, have the audacity to rattle off these things off like you’re at home in the mirror by yourself!
While you’re working up the courage to speak about yourself here’s some tidbits to take with you!👇🏾💛
💭 Quote: Failure is apart of discovering destiny
✊🏾 Black Company Highlight: Deon Libra serves nervous system resets + sensory rituals for the high stressed, high functioning adults that need help to regulate, release, and rest
📓 Word of the Month: tout [towt] verb - to publicly promote or advertise one's abilities and accomplishments
🎙️Podcast: Baby, This is Keke Palmer ft Oprah Winfrey (Apple Podcasts | Spotify)
When people like Oprah speak you listen, within this hour we get a glimpse into the wealth of wisdom that she has. Also for the record when I read the book of Ruth I always pronounced Orpah as Oprah and to find out that Oprah’s real name is actually Orpah is hilarious! Watch or listen to this and just soak up the gems that she drops.
💐 Flower Feature: I wanted to highlight flowers this month to stay in the realm of speaking about yourself so here’s some cute bouquets and dope photos to hopefully remind you to “Give yourself flowers while you can still smell them”. Enjoy!

📺 TV shows: There are a couple of shows coming back with new seasons this month plus a new one that I stumbled upon
Lioness Season 3 on Paramount August 2nd (watch trailer)
Reacher Season 4 on Prime Video August 12th (watch trailer)
Dark Matter on Apple TV, season 2 drops August 28th so you have some time to watch season 1 and go right into season 2 while it’s still fresh. A sci-fi series based on the best-selling novel by Blake Crouch follows Jason Dessen, a physicist who is kidnapped and forced into an alternate reality by an alternate version of himself. He must navigate the multiverse and the roads not taken in his life to return to his true family and protect them from his doppelgänger
🎥 Movies: The Last House (August 7th on Netflix), 72 Hours (out now on Netflix)
A family of four suddenly finds itself trapped inside its own home with no way out in this sci-fi thriller. Together, the family members struggle to survive amid dwindling resources and the mysterious threat keeping them imprisoned.
To save his career, a 40-year-old ad exec (Kevin Hart) joins a crew of twentysomethings for a wild Miami bachelor party after they mistakenly add him to a group chat.
📚 Book: The Missed Connection by Tia Williams
On a flight to Paris for work, a chance encounter that changes everything, Sasha Cruz is seated next to a broodingly attractive mystery man, and sparks fly―but they never exchange contact information. The international manhunt to find Seat F begins with plot twists along the way.
