Thoughts On My Transition - Tidbits of Tee Takeaways
Tidbits of Tee Takeaways is a reflective follow-up series sharing real-life lessons found within the monthly Digest to help the intentional person bridge the gap between inspiration and integration.
Back when I played basketball I’ve always wanted to play fast — pressing, turning steals into easy buckets or forcing the other team into a tough shot, rebounding and pushing the ball in transition. Control the pace & tempo. Even now when I play pick up now I’m trying to get out and run, I mean at this point we play pick up to get some cardio in anyway so let’s push the ball.
Much like playing fast in basketball I’m in a life transition that’s happening relatively fast. The timeline of things changing has happened in a matter of less than a month, however I feel like my pace in it all feels like I’m moving slow like a Spike Lee dolly scene which feels different. Typically when things are happening fast I feel rushed and almost unprepared but I feel very present in the midst of all days seemingly blurring together.
I haven’t quite put my finger on why that is and I’m not rushing to so here’s my current train of thought…Maybe the sense of presence is coming from trusting where I’m going. Although I don’t have a full understanding of what awaits me on the other side I can lean on all of the things I’ve gone through and learned to get me to this point. I can trust that the prior has prepared & developed me into who I needed to become to sustain me for what’s to come. Maybe the presence is rooted in feeling and knowing I belong where I’m going — that this place was made for me to step into.
Just like when a rookie finally finds their footing and feels like they belong in the league. You know the work got you here and you know the continued work will sustain you and fine tune your skills to stay here as well. So here’s to continuing to explore this train of thought and sense of belonging in this transition. Until next time…
Thank you for reading and tuning in, I love ya’ll!! I hope this finds you well and you enjoy it. But more importantly that it adds value to your life, you’re able to take this with you and apply it to whatever your current experience is. Catch ya’ll next month! ✌🏾💕
